EVENT HOST/MC
Corey Dixon has been acting most of his life. Starting at the age of 5, Corey was performing in Broadway plays such as Willy Wonka and Oliver across Ontario, Canada. Later, Corey signed with a management company and agency, where he landed roles on popular Television programs such as Degrassi (Season 10) and YTV’s Splat-A-Lot. Corey has also been in a number of print ads, as well as commercials, including an international commercial for LG.
On the night of February 27th 2016, Corey was involved in a tragic accident when he fell from a 30-foot peak at Albion Falls in Hamilton, Ontario after he slipped on black ice. It took over 2 hours to rescue him from the foot of the falls and from there he was rushed to Hamilton General Hospital, where he then endured many hours of life saving surgery, one such surgery to repair his back in four different places, including an L1 bust, which took four hours to complete. All this before Corey spent five months of rehabilitation in different hospitals, working towards regaining the mobility to walk. His surgeon was quoted as saying: “I have done this surgery thousands of times, I know of 5 patients that are walking and Corey is one of them…A true inspiration.” This is only the most recent of many stories Corey shares to inspire others and raise awareness for mental health and personal well being.
As of 2017 Corey Dixon has created a brand new series for his Youtube channel called “Corey’s Crazy Karting Adventure” where Corey takes various celebrity guests for the ride of their life in a double seated race go-kart. Each episode is packed with celebrity interviews and action packed adventures.
